What? No deleted scenes! I'm curious if the Batman Forever Special Edition is the original unedited version.

Yeah, I found that out on Batman-On-Film. Very sad. I don't think I'll even buy this gift set. I already have the first three films on VHS and I'm cool with watching them in that way. I am a bit curious, however, what Burton would say about Batman Returns. There has been loads and loads of symbolism and I'd like to hear if Burton covers them and if they were intentional or not.

George Clooney is Batman, facing his deadliest threats yet: the cold-hearted Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and venomous Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman). This time, Batman also has to protect his crime fighting comrades Robin (Chris O’Donnell) and Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone), whose youthful eagerness frequently puts them in harm’s way. Outstanding special effects include a wild sky-surfing sequence and Mr. Freeze’s outrageous arsenal of ice-blasting weapons. Joel Schumacher directs from a screenplay by Academy Award-winner Akiva Goldsman (Cinderella Man, A Beautiful Mind). I'm not sure if I want to pick these up. Maybe Batman Forever for the deleted scenes. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with my VHS copies of the first three films.
I'm also happy that Batman Begins's DVD isn't coming out around the same time. There's enough prequel confusion already...

I'm also happy that Batman Begins's DVD isn't coming out around the same time. There's enough prequel confusion already... I think that they're worth it 1.) because you can chapter select (Thank you, WB!) and 2.) if you listen carefully, WB restored key lines in the films... Take the "Wonderful toys" line from the 89 Batman; in some copies of the VHS (like the ones that I have) you can't here the Joker say it because it was cut-off... However, on the DVDs, the line is almost completely restored so that you get the whole dialog part...
