DC Direct Superman Returns Info

DC Direct, DC Comics' toy and collectibles brand, announced today that they will unveil their line of "Superman Returns" authentic movie collectibles at the 2006 American International Toy Fair. The line includes several Superman statues, Superman, Clark Kent and Lex Luthor busts, a Superman 13" deluxe collector figure, a Superman maquette and a Kryptonite Prop Replica.
DC Direct will offer exclusive viewings of the line from Saturday February 11, 2006 through Wednesday February 15, 2006. Appointments will be held from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM with the exception of February 15, when appointments will beheld from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.) The viewings will be held at the Diamond Select Toys/DC Direct Toy Fair Showroom is 1115 Broadway STE 402.

Hmmm... I may pick up that Superman Returns figure if I see it cheap enough.

[Tragic Past]

I'm probably not going to pick up anything from DC Direct in regards to Superman Returns. Mattel is releasing a few busts that look really good that aren't so expensive, and there is no sense in picking up the 12 inch figure...cause Mattel is releasing the 14 inch hyperposeable one as well as a roto cast 10 inch one. Not to mention that even though the DC Direct one is more expensive, from my outlook, the Mattel stuff looks more accurate and has much closer resemblence to Brandon Routh than that of the DC Direct merchandise.
