Superman/Batman Figs Out Tommorow....

Just a reminder to anyone interested, the Ed McGuinness-styled Superman/Batman figures are due out in comic stores tommorow. (Wed. Aug 31st)


I think I'm going to pass on these, as the LH figs are "supposedly" going to be out in a couple months and these figures just seem a little off, as in the short capes and glossy-ness (especially on Superman) which isn't present in the actual artwork as seen here:





I'll be honest the sculpt on the figures are pretty good besides the overdone muscles on Batman. I could only see myself getting just the Batman and Supes if they were cheap, overall I think the best figure is Metallo, a good addition for any Superman collectors out there.

Here's a MOC pic of Batman I found, the package is bland which is weird because the designer obviously payed enough attention to add two versions of the new DC logo (one black for bats, one red for supes), and the nicely done sticker on the bubble, also the base looks really awesome. For DC Direct's Prices, you'd thing they keep boxing figs ala the Hush figures. Let's hope they do for the Long Halloween figs.

Well, is it a good figure? The cape looks mighty small, but it could be meant to be that way.
