well, this weekend, i went to TRU, and found ONE last ras al guhl figure!! how lucky is that! and then i went to target and after a long debate over wich ones to get i decided to pick up the exo suit batman and wave 2 skull strike scarecrow. then i went to my walden books and picked up the last copy of the hardcover editrion of the four part Batman:Year 1 graphic novel. its very good!! and yesterday, my collector edition BB mattel figure fianlly came in, what a week! and now batman begins come out next week and im SOO EXCITED!! and the game looks great too!! cant wait!! Congratulations, glad you found Ras Al Ghul, though I am a little dis heartned that you just now read BY1, but hey...I was very late with it too. Hope you liked it, it is one of my favorite Batman stories. The only negative is it seems to focus more on Gordon than it does Bruce, If you liked that graphic novel, I HIGHLY suggest you pick up The Long Halloween. It is a much better read, and focuses more on Bats and his relationship with Gordon, Dent and the emerging "freaks" in Gotham who are battiling the mob for position of power. |

thank you! i have heard many great things about the long halloween, is it a sequel to year 1? and yes, i said on SSH that it does focus more on gordon then batman, which i found a little weird, and i saw many relations between year 1 and BB, especially his use of bats. very good read! now i want to get the long halloween and the dark knight returns. i have heard both are the best of the best, so ill be picking them up soon.

The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are both right after BY1, but "The Man Who Laughs" takes place right after the final scene of BY1. I would rate the following best Bat stories: 1) The Long Halloween 1 a) Dark Victory 2) Dark Knight Returns 3) Batman Year One 4) The Man Who Laughs 5) Killing Joke |
